work weak, with breezy westerly winds Friday afternoon. Increasing

.SHORT TERM...Today through Thursday night. High pressure
approaching from the west results in warm and dry conditions
across the CWA through the short-term period. Winds will be
northerly this afternoon, at 10-15mph gusting 20mph across
northern NV, and 15-20mph gusting to 30mph across central NV.

around 10 degrees above normal on Thursday.

.LONG TERM...Friday through next Tuesday.

The upper ridge will flatten on Friday in response to trough

mph. No precipitation is expected at this time though afternoon
highs will cool a few degrees, rising to the 70s to low 80s. Quiet
weather will continue into the overnight with lows in the 40s.

On Saturday, models are showing the region sitting under a
deformation axis. Light shower activity is possible mainly in
central Nevada though accumulations are expected to be light.
Winds will be breezy with highs in the 70s and 80s. Look for
another quiet night Saturday with lows in the 40s.

Sunday through Tuesday shows several weak impulses in the flow
moving across the western United States. When it come to
precipitation, models have not been bullish on developing showers
across the area, as chances remain in the 10 to 25 percent range
for the start of the work week. Temperatures begin the week near
normal and are expected to remain so by mid-week. Overnight lows
during this period will range in the 30s and 40s. Winds will be
breezy to locally windy out of the northwest. Speeds in the
afternoon will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph.

the remaining mountain snowpack, with increased flows expected on
many area creeks and rivers including Lamoille Creek and the

stage, these streams are flowing fast and cold.

The Humboldt River at Comus is currently in action stage, but
expected to drop below action stage later today or on Thursday.
