.DISCUSSION...Dry and stable conditions will remain in place over the burn
area today as one more day of high pressure is forecast before
low pressure arrives on Friday. Temperature and relative humidity
will see minimal change as compared to the day prior with light,
terrain driven winds prevailing. By Friday morning, cooler
temperatures and lower pressure will begin moving into the region
and help to support sufficient mixing at the very least. An area of
higher elevation snowfall (above 6,500ft elevations) is expected to
develop over central/ southern Utah on Friday morning and will
progress southward over the burn site by Friday afternoon, but
will become more showery in nature as it does so. Total snow
accumulations are expected to be around an inch or less during the
day on Friday. Light snowfall will continue through Saturday,
with total accumulations reaching upwards of 2 inches (25 percent
chance). That said, there is still a 20-30% chance of no snow
accumulation.
