.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...A warm and very dry airmass will remain
across the region through early next week. Gusty southwest winds
will bring critical fire weather conditions to much of central and
southern Utah through this evening. Winds will decrease a bit
Friday through the weekend, however very low RH with poor overnight
recovery will remain the rule through at least early next week.
.DISCUSSION...Hot, very dry and unstable southwesterly flow will
continue to bring critical fire weather conditions to much of
central and southern Utah through this evening. Meanwhile, high
based showers and thunderstorms developing across eastern Nevada
will bring isolated dry lightning and gusty outflow winds to
northwest Utah through this evening.
This hot and very dry airmass will remain in place through the
weekend and into early next week, with widespread single digit
RH during the afternoon, and marginal to poor overnight recovery.
Southwesterly flow across the area will weaken a bit, with critical
fire weather conditions mainly over the central and southern
mountains, with a more localized threat elsewhere. Just enough
high based moisture will spread into southern Utah Friday afternoon
to bring a couple of isolated high based showers or dry
thunderstorms east of Highway 89.
