This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms possible across
especially during the late morning, afternoon and early evening
hours. Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to
take shelter.

.Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small
streams, and washes. Isolated flash floods possible. Additional
rains will lead to mudslides due to already saturated soil.

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects primarily those
individuals extremely sensitive to heat, especially when outdoors
without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.

.Marine Conditions...Building Seas up to 10 feet across the
Atlantic waters and portions of the local passages. Dangerous
conditions for small craft.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are likely in the
surf zone particularly along all north and east facing beaches.
Large breaking waves producing extremely dangerous swimming
conditions and beach erosion.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Showers and thunderstorm development expected each day but with
increase potential for strong thunderstorm development with the
approach of a frontal boundary late Wednesday through Thursday.
This will continue to pose a risk for periods of excessive rainfall,
lightning, and breezy conditions with the convective activity.
Mudslides and rockfall will also be possible due to the already
saturated soil. Increasing wind waves and northerly swells across
the Atlantic waters will generate hazardous seas and life-
threatening rip currents to north and east exposed coastlines. Rip
currents that can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore
into deeper water where it becomes difficult to return to safety.
Large breaking waves producing dangerous swimming conditions and
minor beach erosion will remain possible for some of the north
facing beaches at least into the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, winds, waves, and rip currents to the National
Weather Service in San Juan.
