Elevated KBDI values signal persistent dry conditions in deeper
soil and fuel layers across southwestern Puerto Rico, most
notably around Cabo Rojo. Breezy ESE winds combined with incoming
drier air maintain a moderate fire danger risk today, with
locally elevated threat levels possible in Cabo Rojo and
neighboring areas. Weather pattern updates and fuel moisture
trends will be monitored closely for potential increases in fire
risk.
