* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Cherokee County in northeastern Texas...
  Southwestern Gregg County in northeastern Texas...
  Northern Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
  Southeastern Smith County in northeastern Texas...

* Until 1015 PM CST.

* At 913 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mixon, or 6
  miles northeast of Jacksonville, moving northeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Tyler, Longview, Jacksonville, Henderson, Kilgore, Whitehouse,
  Overton, Bullard, Troup, New London, Arp, Turnertown, Joinerville,
  Mixon, Ponta, Mount Selman, Liberty City, Pinehill, New
  Summerfield and New Chapel Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek
shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
