...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL HUERFANO AND
NORTHEASTERN COSTILLA COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM MDT...

At 352 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of La Veta Pass, or 34 miles east of San Luis Valley
Airport, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, locally heavy rainfall, and
         brief penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
La Veta, Spring Burn Scar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
