.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions are NOT anticipated across the
district over the next 7 days.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms are forecast across the
district today and Sunday, with the best chances for precipitation
found along the eastern mountains, southern border, and portions of
the eastern plains mainly south of Highway 50. Enhanced convection
chances are anticipated starting Monday, leading to better storm
coverage and an increasing need to monitor area burn scars for
potential flash flooding.
High temperatures are expected to remain hot and above normal
through Monday, then slight cooling to near normal from Tuesday
onward.
Surface-based inversions will break today between 1000 and 1100,
with ventilation rates improving to Good to Very Good for all areas
by 1200 and lasting through 1900. Slightly improved smoke dispersion
trends are forecast for Sunday.
