.Discussion...
Monsoonal moisture looks to stick around through today and
tomorrow, beginning to dwindle on Saturday. For the rest of today
and for tomorrow as well though, strong to severe storms will be
possible, with hail, damaging winds, flash flooding, and a tornado
or two all possible risks with storms both days. Areas that saw
significant rainfall over the past few days will be particularly
at risk for flash flooding, along with burn scars, urban centers,
and other low lying and flood prone areas such as the Chalk
Cliffs.
Showers and storms decrease in coverage and intensity for
Saturday as we begin our warming and drying trend. By Sunday, we
return to isolated convection and above normal temperatures, which
looks to persist into the beginning of next week.
Afternoon ventilation rates will be generally good or better on
both Friday and Saturday.
