.DISCUSSION...
The fire will be in a warm and unstable environment today with
cumulus buildups and up to a 40% chance for thunderstorms in the
afternoon and evening. Any storms at or near the fire will bring a
threat for gusty and erratic outflow winds up to 35 mph, brief
heavy rain, and small hail. Highest threat for lightning will
start between 1500-1600 and continue through the evening. On Friday, be
prepared for numerous showers and wet thunderstorms with potential
for heavy rainfall. Winds will be light and generally terrain
driven until influenced by nearby showers or storms.
