...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Burn scar flooding and rockslides.

* WHERE...Portions of North and North Central Idaho, including the
  following counties, in North Idaho, Latah. In North Central Idaho,
  Nez Perce.

* WHEN...Until noon PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Small streams will experience increased flows. Motorists
  should drive with caution. There may be some rocks and mud on
  State Route 3 south of Julietta and on US 12 between Spalding and
  Lenore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 745 PM PST, radar detected a band of rain that will
    produce periods of moderate rain over the Idaho Panhandle
    Friday night into Saturday.
  - Rain this week has caused steep and rocky terrain to become
    unstable. An additional 0.5 to 1 inch of rain is expected
    Friday night into Saturday heightening the threat of
    additional mud and rock slides.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Areas within and near the area burned by the Gwen Fire,
    Portions of Highway 3 between Julietta and Spalding,
    Portions of Highway 12 between Spalding and Lenore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move away from recently burned areas. The heavy rains will heighten
the threat of rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.
