  Peconic and Gardiners Bays...
  Long Island South Shore Bays...

At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along the south shores of Nassau and Suffolk Counties moving
northeast at around 5 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Great South Bay, Shinnecock Bay, Barnum Island, Great Peconic Bay,
Little Peconic Bay, East Bay, Westhampton Beach, Shinnecock Inlet,
Jones Beach, and South Oyster Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
