FOR ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON...
.DISCUSSION...
Mid summer temperatures continue through Sunday. South winds will
gust over 35 mph in MN through Sunday. Sunday will also feature a
dry cold front pushing into western MN during the peak burn
period, with winds switching around from the southwest over to the
northwest. These winds will be accompanied by RH values nearing
30 percent each afternoon. Highs in the mid 80s are expected
again Sunday afternoon prior to the cold front passage. Cooler
air arrives next week, with temperatures back to near normal. Rain
chances look minimal over the next 7 days, although there is a
small chance along the cold front Sunday.
