.DISCUSSION...
Hazardous heat continues today, with highs reaching the mid 90s,
and peak afternoon heat index values of 108-110 degrees. A Heat
Advisory is again in effect today from Noon to 7 PM. Winds are
forecast to be relatively light out of the west-southwest around
5 to 6 mph today. Isolated to scattered showers and storms will
develop in the vicinity of the burn site (chance of rain around
40 percent) this afternoon into early evening. Greatest chance
for rain at the burn site will be from 5-8 PM. Gusty and erratic
wind gusts will occur with any storms that develop over or
nearby the burn site. Storms will also be capable of producing
frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall. No minimum RH
concerns, with fair to generally good dispersion values
forecast.
