Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Mon May 11 2026

.DISCUSSION...

A weak front will near central Florida late tonight and push slowly
southward across the area into tomorrow. This will keep higher
shower and storm chances in the forecast, with scattered offshore
moving showers and storms this afternoon and evening, and then
scattered to numerous showers and storms developing tomorrow with
the southward moving front. Strong to isolated severe storms will be
possible across the area through this evening and again tomorrow.
Winds will become northeast into Tuesday, increasing up to around 10
mph. Winds then become more variable around 5-10 mph Wednesday, with
the sea breeze switching winds to the E/NE along the coast. Rain
chances remain elevated into Wednesday as front slowly fades, and
then drier conditions are forecast into late week. No Min RH
concerns are forecast through at least midweek, with fair dispersion
values on Tuesday, becoming fair to generally good on Wednesday.

Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
