Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
140 PM EDT Thu Jul 31 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Fire concerns are expected to remain LOW over the next couple of
days.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected
across ENC over the few couple of days, with an increased risk
of wetting rainfall. A cold front is forecast to slide south through
the area later Friday into Saturday with increasing northerly
winds. Relative humidities will remain moderately high, and this
plus recent rainfall, is expected to keep fire concerns low.
