...Hot dry and windy conditions expected this weekend, especially
east of the Cascades and in northeastern California...

.DISCUSSION...Hot today and Wednesday. Isolated thunderstorms are
possible today with the highest risk near and north of Crater
Lake and also over the east side. Nocturnal convection is possible
tonight into Wednesday morning, especially along the coast and
into the Umpqua basin. Thunderstorm coverage increases on
Wednesday, with a focus again in the Cascades, but also the
foothills of eastern Douglas and Jackson Counties and over the
east side in Oregon. Isolated thunderstorms could also impact the
west side valleys and the Warner Mountains in NE California. Drier
weather is likely Thursday into this weekend with enhanced east
side winds along with lower humidity.
