Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
137 PM CST Wed Nov 19 2025
.DISCUSSION...
A chance of wetting rains, widespread cloud cover, and cooler
temperatures than recently for today and tomorrow maintain low
fire weather conditions. Min RH remains above critical 15% and
overnight recovery good to excellent into next week, with another
moderate to high chance of showers/storms with wetting rains north
and east of western higher terrain this weekend, maintaining low
fire weather conditions for those regions. Light westerly 20-ft
winds over Sacramentos, Guadalupes, and Delawares into Davis
Mountains early next week combined with min RH remaining above
critical 15% will likely preclude elevated fire weather conditions
despite drier fuels and ERCs in the 50th to 74th percentile for
these regions.
