.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will remain across the southeastern states and
adjacent Atlantic Ocean much of this week while a cold front
gradually approaches from the north. This pattern will result in
daily shower and thunderstorm chances through Friday, although
the coverage may trend downward late in the week. Hot and humid
conditions will continue through Thursday before temperatures
decline as the front pushes south Friday into the weekend.
Rainfall amounts of a quarter to three quarters of an inch are
expected today through Friday. Locally higher totals are possible
under heavier thunderstorms and in area west of Allegheny Mountains.
