744 FNUS73 KLSX 111333 FWSLSX Spot Forecast for Bunker...USDA Forest Service National Weather Service Saint Louis MO 833 AM CDT Wed Sep 11 2024 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0800 CDT on September 11. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Dry conditions will continue today, with well above average temperatures, moderate to low afternoon humidity, and mostly light east to southeast winds. Deep mixing is expected this afternoon with mixing heights likely to climb over 7000 feet, which will also support some more noticeable but not particularly strong wind gusts. Dry conditions will continue overnight with moderate overnight humidity recoveries. While dry conditions are expected to continue Thursday, increasing cloud cover is expected to keep temperatures cooler than today, with higher humidity as well. Easterly winds are likely to be slightly stronger as well. This will all be the result of approaching remnants of hurricane Francine, which is also increasingly likely to produce much needed soaking rain overnight Thursday through Friday. This is beyond the burn period listed, but may be relevant for mop-up activities. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (25-35 percent). Chance of pcpn......0 percent.
