.DISCUSSION...
South-southwesterly winds will remain elevated through tonight
and increase in strength Thursday morning out of the southwest.
Southwesterly winds and mostly clear skies through the first
part of the day will lead to anomalous warmth, with record-breaking
temperatures possible (90s). Moisture streaming northward ahead
of a cold front will is expected to mitigate Elevated Fire Danger
conditions. There is a low chance that portions of Missouri south
of the Missouri River and just west of the Mississippi River may
briefly hit this criteria. The cold front sinks southward through
the region Thursday evening into the overnight hours. There is a
80-90% chance of a wetting rain (0.25" aerial average). Temperatures
Friday through Saturday will be seasonable, with another period of
warming starting on Sunday.
