Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL

A weak cold front will drive showers and a few thunderstorms
through the area this afternoon and evening, with wetting rain
likely in most areas along and south of Highway 36 / I-72. Warm,
dry, and breezy conditions can be expected tomorrow, with deep
mixing and efficient smoke dispersion. Another cold front will
move through the area tomorrow night, bringing some light showers
and a more notable cooling trend Sunday and Monday. Mostly dry
conditions are expected next week, with only a minor chance for
showers Tuesday/Wednesday followed by long-term warming trend
through the end of the week and beyond.
