...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Illinois, including the
  following counties, southeastern Bond, Clinton, southeastern
  Fayette and Marion.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 211 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
    warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Centralia, Salem, Vandalia, Breese, Carlyle, St. Elmo,
    Sandoval, Germantown, Albers, Wamac, Central City, Odin,
    Beckemeyer, Kinmundy, Brownstown, Irvington, Patoka, Tamalco,
    Farina and Omega.
  - This includes the following State Parks...
    Carlyle Lake Recreational Area.

    This includes the following highways...
    Interstate 64 in Illinois near exit 34.
    Interstate 70 in Illinois between exits 68 and 76.
    Interstate 57 in Illinois between exits 109 and 135.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
