Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS... A 30.4 inch high pressure over the Upper Great Lakes
will shift east toward southern Quebec tonight, building to 30.6
inches. To the west, a 29.6 inch trough emerges over the Northern
Plains late today. The trough drifts east over the Midwest late
Wednesday into Wednesday night, weakening to around 29.8 inches.
The trough continues along the southern end of the Great Lakes
Thursday into Thursday night. A 30.1 inch ridge emerges from the
Plains Wednesday night, moving into the Great Lakes for Friday and
Saturday. Deepening low pressure near 29.6 inches emerges out of
the Plains, moving northeast across northern Minnesota Sunday.
