...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN KNOTT...CENTRAL
FLOYD AND WEST CENTRAL PIKE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 558 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Langley, or 10 miles south of Prestonsburg, moving southeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pikeville, Estill, Coal Run Village, Martin, Wayland, Allen, East
McDowell, Hippo, Glo, Printer, Aluba, McDowell, Betsy Layne, Ivel,
Honaker, Buckhorn Hollow, Blue Moon, Osborn, Orkney, and Hunter.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 Kentucky Highway 80 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 12.
 Kentucky Highway 80 in Knott County between mile markers 19 and 20.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 10.
 U.S. Highway 23 in Pike County between mile markers 16 and 32.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
