...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Kentucky...

  Red River at Clay City affecting Estill and Powell Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued Saturday morning at 600 AM EDT.

...A FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...The Flood Warning is for the Red River at Clay City.

* WHEN...The Flood Warning is valid until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Major flooding begins. Some residences are
  inundated, with many roads blocked.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM EDT Friday the stage was 22.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.0
    feet overnight tonight and then slowly fall on Saturday. It
    will begin to rise again Sunday into Monday. It is forecast
    to fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
