Light winds and mostly cloudy skies dominated the scene over the
Central Plains this afternoon as light showers were observed over
central Kansas. Afternoon high temperatures in the 70s and 80s were
noted over South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas, while portions of
Oklahoma and Arkansas saw temperatures in the 90s.

Low temperatures in the 50s and 60s are forecast tonight across
Nebraska and Kansas, while readings in the 70s are anticipated
across Oklahoma. Slight chances for rain will return to the High
Plains of Nebraska and Colorado, while most of Middle America is
expected to remain dry overnight.

Another day of below normal temperatures is expected on Friday, as
highs in the 70s and 80s are forecast throughout the Northern and
Central Plains. Chances for showers and storms will return to the
Northern Plains, southeast Oklahoma, and the High Plains of Colorado
by late afternoon, while the rest of Middle America is expected to
remain dry. Gusty south winds will return to western Nebraska and
South Dakota, while winds are largely expected to remain light
throughout the Sunflower State.
