983 FLUS43 KICT 121438 HWOICT Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Wichita KS 937 AM CDT Sat Sep 12 2026 KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-130845- Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Saline-Rice-McPherson-Marion-Chase- Reno-Harvey-Butler-Greenwood-Woodson-Allen-Kingman-Sedgwick-Harper- Sumner-Cowley-Elk-Wilson-Neosho-Chautauqua-Montgomery-Labette- 937 AM CDT Sat Sep 12 2026 This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Storms are possible late this morning across southern and eastern Kansas. Stronger storms could produce gusty winds and small hail. Additional storms are forecast this afternoon through late tonight. Severe storms are possible with the strongest storms capable of up to golfball size hail and up to 60 mph wind gusts. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Lingering showers and storms are possible Sunday. However, severe weather appears unlikely on Sunday. Periodic chances for showers and storms will return by Monday night and continue through Friday. A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible along with heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Heat indices will potentially exceed 100 each afternoon for Sunday and Monday. Gusty winds and unseasonably hot temperatures may briefly support very high grassland fire danger west of I-135 Monday afternoon. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
