.DISCUSSION...
As high pressure remains across the region, dry conditions will
continue across Northern Alabama for much of this week. High
temperatures today should rise into the mid 70s to around 85
degrees today. This will drop afternoon relative humidity values just
below 25 percent. Northerly 20 foot winds between 5 and 10 mph
with gusts up to 20 mph will be possible in the afternoon.
Northerly transport winds around 10 mph are expected. Generally
Good smoke dispersion rates are forecast today.
Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy late night and early
morning fog remains possible. Fog will be more likely in sheltered
valley locations and near bodies of water. Any fog that forms
should dissipate shortly after sunrise.
Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None are forecast at this time.
