* WHAT...Snow above 3500 feet. Additional snow accumulations up to
  one inch, with isolated extremely high peaks seeing up to an
  additional 2 to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph, with
  isolated exposed locations seeing gusts as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Elevations above 3500 feet in Madison, Mitchell, and
  Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...Until noon EST today.

* IMPACTS...The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered
  roadways. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
  morning commute. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to
  trees and power lines.
