Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The early overnight hours saw a mix of fog, light rain, and some
snow showers in the region. Temperatures as of midnight ranged
from 33 in Kit Carson, Colorado to 45 in Hill City, Kansas. Winds
were from the east and north at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

OUTLOOK... Today, the precipitation slowly comes to an end from
south to north. Any additional accumulations of rain or snow
should be fairly minimal. Cloudy skies are forecast to begin the
day, but the sun may begin to peek through the clouds during the
afternoon hours. Highs are forecast to be in the 30`s for most of
Eastern Colorado, and the 40`s and 50`s for the rest of the
region. Tonight, partly cloudy skies and some patchy fog are
forecast. Lows will drop into the 20`s and 30`s. Tomorrow, mostly
sunny skies are forecast with winds from the west at 10 mph. Highs
will reach the 40`s for areas with lingering snow on the ground,
while the rest of the region warms into the 50`s and 60`s.
