This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Northwest Kansas and Southwest
Nebraska starting this afternoon. Temperatures above 100 degrees and
heat index values in the mid 100s are forecast during the afternoon
hours. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme
heat events. Livestock may be stressed as well due to multiple days
of triple digit heat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...

The Heat Advisory remains in effect for Northwest Kansas and
Southwest Nebraska through Monday. Temperatures above 100 degrees
and heat index values in the mid 100s are forecast during the
afternoon hours each day.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne
counties in Colorado for Sunday as heat indices and air temperatures
up to 105 degrees are forecast. Heat related illnesses increase
significantly during extreme heat events. Livestock may be stressed
as well due to multiple days of triple digit heat.

Severe weather may be possible on Monday across the area. Damaging
wind gusts currently are the primary hazard. Impacts to trees,
siding and crops may be possible.
