.DISCUSSION...
Today: South winds at 20-30 mph with gusts to 40 mph will weaken
from west to east throughout the afternoon, earliest in eastern CO.
With the driest conditions (RH 15-20%) confined to northwest portions
of Yuma County in CO, where winds have already weakened to 10-20 mph
and will further weaken to 5-10 mph during the late afternoon,
critical fire weather conditions are not expected.
Saturday: No fire weather concerns. Expect highs ranging from 80-90F
and minimum RH readings around 30-40%, driest in eastern CO.
Initially light winds will shift to the N and increase to 20-30 mph
in the wake of a modest cold frontal passage during the late morning
to early afternoon. Breezy NNE to NE winds will persist through the
remainder of the afternoon.
