...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DELTA COUNTY
THROUGH 330 PM MDT...

At 305 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Delta, or 28 miles southeast of Grand Junction,
moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and
         outdoor objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Delta
County.

This includes U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 62 and
64.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
