.DISCUSSION...
Continued scattered mountain thunderstorms and isolated
lowland thunderstorms expected this evening. Highs today
and tomorrow will continue to be between 5-8 degrees above
average. Min RHs today will be in the upper teens and low 20s
across most of the lowlands as southeasterly flow surrounding
the upper-level high advects moisture into the region. The
Sacramento Mountains will have the best chance of rain today
while both the Sacramento Mountains and the Gila will have the
best chance of rain tomorrow. Ventilation rates today will range
from fair to good due to thunderstorms in the area, and the winds,
outside of thunderstorm-generated outflows with gusts up
to 50 mph should be light. Continued scattered thunderstorms in
the Gila National Forest and western New Mexico for Saturday and
Sunday, but the rest of the lowlands will dry out this weekend
before moisture returns to the Arizona-New Mexico border early
next week.
