The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  Southern Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...
  Luna County in southwestern New Mexico...
  Western Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...
  Eastern Hidalgo County in southwestern New Mexico...

* Until 830 PM MDT.

* At 724 PM MDT, a wall of dust is moving north from the
  International Border, moving north at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess
           of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel, especially on I-10, Hwy-9 and Hwy-11.

Locations impacted include...
Columbus, Deming, Akela, Carzalia Valley, Hermanas, Gage, Sunshine,
Rock Hound State Park, Camp Ramsey, Spring Canyon State Park, and
Camel Mountain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.

Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. PULL ASIDE
STAY ALIVE!
