...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County.

  Skunk River at Augusta affecting Lee, Henry IA and Des Moines
  Counties.

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Clinton and Scott
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued by Friday morning at 1030 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...North Skunk River near Sigourney.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land, some
  county roads, and farm houses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Skunk River at Augusta.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water floods some agricultural land near
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 13.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 16.2 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S.
  Highway 61 near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 12.6 feet
    Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
