  and Marion Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest waterway observations and forecasts refer to

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts include observed precipitation plus forecast
precipitation over the next 48 hours.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Des Moines River at Des Moines SE 6th St, or from below the
  Center Street dam to Runnells.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 23.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 23.5 feet this afternoon.
    It will then fall to 23.4 feet just after midnight tonight.
    It will rise to 23.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will
    then fall again and remain below flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...The Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, or from Walnut
  Creek to the Des Moines River.

* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.3 feet, George Flagg Parkway is closed from Park
  Ave to SW 30th St.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:32 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.2
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    late tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
