.DISCUSSION...Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible through
the start of the weekend, but should continue to move eastwards
into areas that have seen plentiful moisture and should present a
low risk of new fire starts. With that being said, RH values are
expected to plummet for Carbon and Albany Counties beginning
Friday and continuing through next week with daytime values into
the teens to single digits. This combined with locally breezy
winds and possible poor overnight recoveries could lead to
multiple days of critical fire weather concerns, the first of
which may be on Friday. For now have held off on warning due to
uncertainty, but as model data evolves this evening and tomorrow
morning a watch or warning may be necessary.
