...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LAKE MOULTRIE IN BERKELEY
COUNTY UNTIL 330 AM EDT...

At 305 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
moving over Lake Moultrie, moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could create a sudden increase in waves, and
blow over loose items, unsecured objects outdoors.

Locations impacted include...
  Moncks Corner, Saint Stephen, Bonneau, Southern Lake Moultrie,
  Bonneau Beach, Northern Lake Moultrie, Pinopolis, Cross, Wampee
  and Macbeth.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
harbor immediately.

If on Lake Moultrie, get out of the water and move indoors or inside
a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the
parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough
to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
