At 534 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Jenkinsville, or 7 miles southeast of VC Summer Nuclear Station, moving east at 40 mph. ...Boaters on Lake Murray Should Seek Safe Harbor... HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 45 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Columbia, Irmo, Forest Acres, Camden, Dentsville, St. Andrews, Arcadia Lakes, Lugoff, Villages at Sandhill, Columbia International University, Jenkinsville, Elgin, Killian, Harbison State Forest, Woodfield, Sesquicentennial State Park, Lake Carolina, Fort Jackson, Ballentine, and Blythewood.
