...Rain Ends This Evening With Dry Weather Through the Weekend...
.DISCUSSION...
Rainfall will taper off across southern Vermont this evening with
dry weather in expected Friday and through the weekend. Rainfall
across Rutland and Windsor counties range from a third to half of
an inch of rain which is very beneficial given how little rain
has been observed in those locations over the last month. High
pressure will settle into the region on Friday which will bring much
cooler and drier weather to the region. Afternoon RH values will
likely stay above critical thresholds but will still drop to around
35-40% Saturday and Sunday afternoon. If we end up mixing deeper
on Saturday, we could see a few locations drop to 25-30% in the
afternoon. Winds should overall be pretty light with the high
pressure anchored overhead. This prolonged spell could lead to
potential fire weather concerns as we head into next week.
