...IMPACTFUL WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY...

.Several rounds of snow will impact northwest Lower Michigan tonight
through Monday.  Snow on Monday will be accompanied by strong
northwest winds...falling temperatures...and considerable blowing
and drifting snow.

EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, lake effect snow expected.
  Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches through Sunday
  morning. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total
  snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches possible. Winds could
  gust as high as 40 mph with significant blowing and drifting snow
  Monday.

* WHERE...A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to
  7 AM EST Sunday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Sunday afternoon
  through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Whiteout conditions are
  possible Monday and may make travel treacherous and potentially
  life-threatening. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
  morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are possible Monday and may make
  travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could
  be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly
  reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the
  Monday morning and evening commutes.
