.DISCUSSION...
A warming and drying trend is beginning today and persists into
the weekend for the Central Interior and most of the Eastern
Interior. Temperatures will warm back into the 70s with decreasing
humidities. There will be increasing low level instability so
active wildfires could start to smoke or flare up this weekend.
Winds will be mostly light from the northeast but there may be
some isolated gusts to 20 mph in the higher terrain on Friday.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Friday and Saturday
over the Alaska Range, Upper Tanana Valley and Fortymile Country.
There is a chance for plain rain showers over the Interior terrain
each afternoon. A more consolidated area of rain showers is
expected Saturday from the Fortymile to the Eastern Alaska Range.
