A weak surface trough will move east across the Dakotas into this
evening and bring a few widely scattered thunderstorms to North
Dakota into far northern South Dakota. A dome of heat will intensify
over the Northern Plains this weekend, bringing temperatures into the
90s and low 100s, along with high heat indices over 100 degrees. A
few scattered showers and storms are possible Saturday afternoon and
night across the region. Hot temperatures in the upper 80s to upper
90s look to continue next week.
