Windy conditions are underway across much of northern and central New Mexico this afternoon. Gusts of 25 to 35 mph have become more common with northeastern areas reaching closer to 40 to 50 mph. A few weak showers and thunderstorms will gradually shift from north central areas parts of New Mexico to the northeast corner this evening before dwindling away. Winds will quickly decrease around sunset in most locations. Dry and calmer weather will arrive Sunday with temperatures running near to just slightly above normal. Cool and moist fronts will enter New Mexico from the northeast next week, keeping temperatures seasonable with low chances of precipitation Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. ................................................................
