THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, freezing rain ice
  accumulations up to a quarter of an inch. Additional snow
  accumulations up to 3 inches. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy
  snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 8 inches
  possible.

* WHERE...Central and Southeast Phillips, Central and Southern
  Valley, McCone, and Northern Phillips Counties. Mainly along and
  near US-Highway 2.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, now until 8 PM MST Thursday.
  For the Winter Storm Watch, from Thursday evening through Saturday
  morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation on
  power lines and tree limbs may cause widespread and long-lasting
  power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning
  commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations of 5 to
  10 inches. Locally higher amounts up to 12 inches within the most
  persistent lake effect snow bands. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Southern Erie County.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
  The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and
  Thursday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An initial burst of snow will accompany a
  cold front this evening, with a quick coating of snow on roadways
  and visibilities dropping below one half mile at times. Wet roads
  will also become icy if left untreated. Lake effect snow showers
  will then develop late tonight and persist through Thursday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

  across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill Plateau and western
  Adirondack foothills, with 2 to 4 inches in the surrounding lower
  elevations. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce areas of
  blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The greatest
  accumulations will be across the higher terrain of the Tug Hill
  Plateau and western Adirondacks.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will
  impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
