PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  homes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 9.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:45 PM EST Wednesday was 9.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady above flood
    stage at 9.2 feet.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    9.2 feet on 10/04/1964.

    ending at 11:45 PM EST Wednesday was 29.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    tomorrow evening and continue falling to 28.9 feet Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Fields and cropland along the creek floods.
  Sections of Sallee Rd floods between 82nd Ave to 108th Ave. Also
  95th Ave floods between Dean and Sallee Roads. Expect road
  closures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CST Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 9.6 feet tomorrow
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.

  including Strothers Crossing Road near the community of Calcasieu
  and Price Crossing Road near Hineston have two to three feet of
  water over the road and are subject to being closed. Flooding of
  forested areas near the river will also occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM CST Wednesday the stage was 12.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:45 PM CST Wednesday was 12.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0
    feet Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  St Johns River Near Astor affecting Volusia and Lake Counties.

.River levels on the St Johns near Astor are forecast to hover
around 3 feet as winds behind a passing cold front become north to
northwesterly. The river is then forecast to resume a slow decline
early next week as winds become lighter. Residents and interests
along the Saint Johns River should continue to expect prolonged
flood impacts.

For the St. Johns River...including Astor...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

* IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, Water approaches or may enter lowest homes
  on or near Wildhog Road and nearby canals. Flooding reaches the
  parking lot of the Juno Trail Apartments. Flooding on portions of
  Alligator Road and Holiday Road. Lowest lying yards along Blue
  Creek are flooded. Roads at Astor Landing Campground and Lake
  Dexter Boat Ramp begin to flood. Water enters lower homes closest
  to the river on McPherson Lane.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 2.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 2.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:30 PM EST Wednesday was 3.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 3.0
    feet tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 2.3 feet.

...REPLACES FLOOD WATCH...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snow melt is
  expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Oregon, including Coos, Curry,
  Jackson, and Josephine counties and western Siskiyou County in
  northern California.

* WHEN...Until midnight PST Friday Night.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1227 PM PST, satellite estimates and rain gauge data
    indicate heavy rain in the warned area. Between 1 and 6
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 7 inches are possible in
    the warned area. Some areas will receive snowfall and then
    switch to rainfall. Rain can melt the snow and cause a higher
    runoff response than rainfall alone.
