...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM AKST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Ward Lake near areas near the Ward Lake recreational area.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 746 AM AKST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain across the
    advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly, especially near Ward Lake. Between 2 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2
    inches are possible through Sunday afternoon.

  - For Lake Connell Dam:
    At 7:30am the stage was 252.8 feet.
    Flood Stage is 252.0 feet.

    Impacts:
    At 252.0 feet: 2 feet of water will be going over the
    emergency spillway which will produce minor flooding of areas
    around the Ward Lake recreation area with trails and Last
    Chance campground being inundated.
