...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...High temperatures in the upper 80s to upper 90s below 5000
  feet expected. Low temperatures in the mid 60s to mid 70s below
  5000 feet.

* WHERE...Riverside County Mountains and San Bernardino County
  Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hottest conditions expected over the weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Limit outdoor
recreation during the afternoon hours and take breaks if you must be
outside.

...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Hot conditions expected with temperatures reaching up to
  103 degrees during the period. Moderate to high heat risk expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central California.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  high heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
