...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall that fell overnight.
* WHERE...North Central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 245 PM MST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or
stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 838 AM MST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms from last evening. Minor flooding is already
occurring in the advisory area and will continue as flood waters
slowly recede.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Areas near and along the Brawley Wash. Any road or low water
crossing near the Brawley Wash.
- This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Manville Rd at Brawley Wash and Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and
Sandario.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
